A TOOLKIT for a Lamborghini Countach, one of the definitive supercars of the late 1970s and 1980s, is for sale on auction site Ebay at a “buy it now” price of $20,000 (£12,000).
While that sort of money could buy you a new Honda Jazz, the Countach toolkit includes little more than assorted spanners, screwdrivers, a pair of pliers, sockets and a wheel jack.
However, of special interest may be the pair of ancillary drive belts, the spare bulb holder which appears to be missing two bulbs (note possible haggling opportunity here) and the pair of pristine Lamborghini-branded work gloves for that authentic pit stop.
Described as having a “few small tears in left side compartment” the toolkit would surely be the finishing touch in any Countach missing one.
Furthermore, while £12,000 for a couple of spanners and some flimsy gloves might sound a trifle expensive, it equates to only 5% of the value of a typical model.
