Dramatic dashcam footage captures light aircraft crash

Pilot and passenger walked unharmed from the flaming wreck

THE moment a light aircraft made an emergency landing onto a main road and burst into flames has been captured on a driver’s dashcam.

The plane reportedly came down at about 3.40pm local time on May 2 in the American town of Mukilteo, in Washington state, shortly after taking off.

The footage shows the Piper Cherokee hitting power lines and traffic lights before catching fire. A number of cars were damaged but there were no serious injuries, police said. The pilot and passenger were both unharmed.
