SURREY Police have launched a public appeal to track down a hit-and-run motorist who allegedly drove into a cyclist on purpose.

The incident was captured on video and shows the driver of a Volkswagen Polo swerving into a cyclist who was riding on the road in a residential area. The incident was brought to the attention of police after the footage was shared on social media.

Surrey Police have launched a public appeal to help track down the VW driver, the passenger who filmed the act and the cyclist who was struck down. They say they did not receive any reports at the time.

Many details are unconfirmed but it’s believed to have taken place at the Longmead Estate in Epsom “at some point in 2018”.
