News: Man drives car off back of council tow truck (video)

A MAN reversed his car off a council tow truck to stop it being impounded after he parked it illegally.

A video taken by a passer-by shows the man in his silver Vauxhall Astra aboard the truck moments before he engages reverse gear, floors the accelerator and shoots tail-first off the back.

The incident happened in Walthamstow, East London after council workers had hoisted the car onto their truck but before they could attach the securing chains.

A spokesman for Waltham Forest council said the driver had “utter disregard” for safety.
