That's just not cool, baby: BMW 3 Series driver wedges car down country lane

One million manoeuvres

A LORRY driver in Cornwall had his journey brought to an abrupt halt by an unusual obstacle: a BMW 3 Series saloon that had wedged itself in the narrow road.

According to the lorry user Matt Morris, the BMW found itself in the awkward position because its driver decided not to let the goods vehicle have right of way.Instead, the person behind the wheel of the silver saloon opted for a less straight-forward solution: try and head back down the road, after making a multiple-point turn on the narrow lane.

Mr Morris also noted how the scene bore an uncanny resemblance to a moment from the 1997 spy spoof film Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, where the titular character tried to turn a buggy around in a narrow tunnel.
