Cheshire Police arrest Honda driver nearly three times the alcohol limit

"The driver will now answer for this behaviour in court"


A POLICE breathalyser test on a man who crashed on the M56 motorway found him to be nearly three times over the alcohol limit.

According to Cheshire Police, the Honda Civic driver lost control and collided with the motorway’s central reservation barrier on January 21. He narrowly avoided hitting any other vehicle in the smash and there were no injuries, but this Honda Civic was extensively damaged in the smash.

The Warrington Guardian reported that the 36-year-old driver from Shelton was released on bail pending further enquiries as investigations continue.

PC Tony Garner said he is keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, particularly those with dash cam footage of the incident.
