Medical Requirements For Driving

Category: Getting Started

There are a range of medical conditions that can affect your ability to safely drive.  It is your obligation as a driver to inform the DVLA if you have an impairment, whether it is an existing condition or a newly developed ailment or disability.

Failure to comply with DVLA regulations on medical conditions is a criminal offence and can result in a criminal record and a fine.

A full guide for drivers with medical conditions is produced by the DVLA and can downloaded here
